Hamilton Beach Model 25 mixer overheating

I have a Hamilton Beach Model 25 mixer that is overheating. It does this everytime I use it, not just with very thick dough. Someone suggested to me that it might need lubricating, but I see no lubrication point. Any suggestions, either to repair myself or send out to an expert?
