Black Residue on meat using Kitchenaid meat grinder attachment

I recently started using the Kitchenaid meat grinder. After about a hal a pound goes through, black residue is all over the meat. When I take it apart, there is tons of oil-like back gunk in the meat chamber. I was hoping it may just be a one time thing, but this is the 4th batch of meat I have made and it has just gotten worse. I see others are complaining about it (eg. on reviews). It is coming from inside the machine where the grinder attachment fits into the machine. Second question: Does this happen with regular meat grinders also?
