Guide :Food Mixers : KM300 Chef Stand Mixer

Kenwood chef.mixmaster my mixer seems to be leaking ol I have a Kenwood made Chef Classic, marketed under the Rival brand. I purchased it in the early 90's and have used it perhaps twice. When I brought it out recently, oil was dripping from the attach point for the beater. Could this simply be from sitting idle for years, or do I need a repair?
